 a concert of Romantic Fairytales: an allegorical-political story of a capt
 ive queen (The Captive Queen by Sibelius)\, a spurned lover who is lured b
 y Rhine spirits to become the most deadly of them all (Loreley by Mendelss
 ohn) and a rose who takes human form and learns of death and love (The Pil
 grimage of the Rose by Schumann).</p>\n<p>Joined by 2014 Lexus Song Quest 
 finalists\, Bianca Andrew (mezzo)\, Oliver Sewell (tenor) and Christian Th
 urston (baritone)\, with Marian Hawke (soprano)\, Maaike Christie-Beekman 
 (alto)\, Roger Wilson (bass) and Douglas Mews on the piano\, the concert i
 s directed by Michael Vinten.</p>\n<p>To enhance the experience of the sto
 ries\, the pieces are being sung in English.<br />\nThe concert is on Satu
 rday 8 August\, at 3 pm\, in St Andrew’s on the Terrace\, Wellington.<br /
 >\nAdmission $25 adult and $20 concession (unwaged). School aged children
